Shared Sign Removal
Cooperation doesn’t have to wait until after the swearing-in. Coordinating sign removal is one practical place to start.
Many Hands, Light Work
In 2022, mayoral candidate Casey Siebenmorgen demonstrated that competitors can still support one another. He proposed a mutual sign collection agreement. Normally, candidates may not remove another campaign’s signs without permission. Casey extended a generous and practical offer: anyone who agreed in advance could take down one another’s signs after Voting Day and drop them at his location for pickup. It saved time and effort for everyone who participated.
If I were to revisit it, I would make one adjustment — assigning specific roads to each participant so no one doubled back over the same territory. I’m doing that this year.
Below is a sign-up form for candidates who would like to participate in collaborative sign removal after Voting Day.
